Who is Dj Pdogg

As a freshmen in college, Perry E. Tankard II began his journey as a DJ spinning for a traveling ministry team on scholarship called the SOAR Dunk team. That is where he adopted the stage name DJ PDOGG which stands for "Perry Depends on Gods Grace". Since 2002 he has traveled all over the US and internationally using music to share the gospel of Jesus Christ through hip hop. He holds a B.S. in Communications and M.A. in Discipleship from Liberty University. He currently is one of the tour DJs for Reach Records and 116 ( Lecrae, This'l, Sho Baraka, Tripp Lee, Tedashii).

He has received recognition from the National Religious Broadcasters Convention (NRB) and is a 2 time NRB award winner for his radio show "@Djpdogg #Inthemix" which plays the best in hip hop and rhythm and gospel music airing since 2003. This show currently airs on award winning Yes Lord Radio; DaSouth Radio Network; Ill Flight Radio; The Promise Network and a host of other FM/internet stations. DJ PDOGG also hosts a weekly @Djpdogg #Inthemix podcast found on Itunes. Most recently DJ PDOGG received notable Gospel Announcer Recognition from the 27th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards 2012 in Nashville,TN.

Outside of his work life he is a dedicated husband and father to his college sweetheart, Zion Tankard, and their girl/boy twins Dana and Perry III. They reside in Durham, NC and are faithful to their church home and community with a heart to reach the inner city.
